It’s National Police Week, and we'd like to thank all the awesome people involved with the RCMP.

Recently, we presented a Dodge Journey to the incredible people (and dogs!) at Chinook Arch Victim’s Services. They work with local detachments to provide immediate crisis intervention, support, information, and referrals to victims of crime and trauma.

So on behalf of our team here, we'd like to say thanks. We appreciate your hard work– and so does Joe the Service Dog, look at the smile on his face!

It’s hard to believe that we have only been on the move just over 24hours! Yesterday was a packed day, full of opportunities to interact with all types of people and adventures to participate in. The 5 hour drive in the morning started early so that we could arrive in Ross by lunch time, we experienced such a warm welcome from the family here! After lunch we headed over to the school to meet with the high school kids there, we could feel the lack of energy and life in the building as soon as they came in. Even still, through games and skits, they became more and more engaged as we went along and we were encouraged by the slight shift in attitude. We were blessed to be able to hike down for a barbecue between helping at the after school program and the coffee house, giving us a little break and an amazing view! Today we will continue to interact with the kids and teens that we have begun to build relationships with, pray that they would be open to God’s message today.

These last couple days have been very full of activities, talking, and hanging out. We started off the morning by going to see the Ross River suspension bridge which happens to be the largest suspension walking bridge in Canada. We had our morning devotions in which Tim talked about Christ being the anchor for our lives, which was a good reminder that it is Christ who keeps us steady. The event we had planned from two to four PM ended up merging with the other event from eight PM to two AM. These two events definitely did not end up happening as planned but God has His own ways. The activities did go well and we had a chance to connect a bit more with the kids that came through doing crafts and playing basketball, dodgeball, and capture the flag, all of which I (Kenneth) played barefoot or in slippers. The night ended with a movie that had a good message for everyone. We were all very exhausted by the end of the night and were able to sleep well for the remaining hours of the morning. It was encouraging to see the youth becoming more comfortable with us and it would be great to see that grow if we had stayed longer. God has definitely been working in lives throughout the trip.
